Originally from Palatka, Florida, Denise has made the Big Island her home for over 20 years. She is a retired Army Intelligence Officer and former teacher. Having attended Law School at the University of Florida, Denise also obtained a Masters in Psychology. Aside from her illustrious real estate career, she is also co-owner of Uncle Miles’ Catering Service. (In her contagious humor she claims to be chief bottle washer for the catering service.)

For times nominated as Realtor of the Year, she consistently ranked a top sales agent at her pervious firm, Century 21. Her aptitude, dedication and knowledge of Big Island real estate placed her as the top-producing agent with Prudential Orchid Isle Properties. Denise has not only been the Top Producer for 8 consecutive years, but has also been the recipient of the “Chairman’s Circle Award” 2003-2006 and “President’s Circle Award” 2007, placing her in the top 3% of Prudential’s’ 50,000 agents nation-wide. In between her long hours of real estate, Denise is a committed runner. She also devotes many hours to assisting various Veterans’ organizations and serves as a Director on the East Hawaii Cultural Center Council. She is a sitting Director with the Hawaii Island Board of Realtor.

Mealoha is one of 6 children. Born into an established island family, Mealoha grew up on the Big Island, moved to Florida during her teen years and returned to attend the University of Hawaii, at Hilo. Graduating with a degree in Natural Science, she has her eye on a career in teaching until the world of real estate beckoned. A active and awarding winning agent in her own right, she currently is the personal assistant to Denise Nakanishi, her mother and top producer at Prudential Orchid Isle Properties.

Between her real estate career and raising her young daughter Faith and son Connor, Mealoha enjoys yoga, outrigger canoe paddling and the occasional scuba dive. She is also the vice-president of Recycle Hawaii, a local non-profit educational organization, and is Secretary of the Hawaii Big Island Board of Realtors. She is also active in may other community service projects.

An excellent example of “Generation X”, Mealoha has the insight, knowledge and experience in assisting families to find their “perfect fit” in paradise.
